About the Nova Scotia PhD Program in Educational Studies
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Program in Educational Studies is offered jointly by three respected Nova Scotia universities: Acadia University (Wolfville, Nova Scotia); Mount Saint Vincent University (Halifax, Nova Scotia); and, St. Francis Xavier University (Antigonish, Nova Scotia).
Working in one of six supported thematic areas, students in the program complete 2.5 credits of coursework, an academic portfolio, and a doctoral dissertation. Normally, students complete the program in 4 to 6 years of study.
